Semaglutide

Weight management reimagined. Medically supervised GLP-1 therapy tailored to your body, your goals, and your path forward.

What Is It

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist — a medication that works with your body's own metabolic signaling system to support sustainable weight loss, appetite regulation, and blood sugar balance. It's the same class of medication as Ozempic and Wegovy, compounded at a licensed U.S. pharmacy and prescribed through your Vitality Wellness consultation.

Who’s It For

  • Anyone who has struggled to achieve or maintain a healthy weight despite consistent effort with nutrition and lifestyle.

  • Those experiencing weight gain driven by insulin resistance, hormonal shifts, or metabolic changes — especially in perimenopause and menopauseClients pairing it with other injection therapies for enhanced effect

  • Clients who want a medically supervised, physiologically grounded approach to weight management — not another diet

  • Those whose relationship with food is heavily influenced by persistent hunger, cravings, or food noise that feels beyond willpower

What It Does

  • Significantly reduces appetite and the mental preoccupation with food ("food noise")

  • Slows gastric emptying, supporting feelings of fullness and reducing caloric intake naturally

  • Improves insulin sensitivity and blood sugar regulation

  • Supports meaningful, sustainable weight loss when paired with nutritional awareness

  • Reduces inflammation associated with metabolic dysfunction

  • May improve lipid profiles and cardiovascular risk markers

How It Works

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) is a hormone your gut releases in response to food. It signals the brain to reduce appetite, tells the pancreas to release insulin, and slows the rate at which the stomach empties. In people with obesity or metabolic dysfunction, this signaling system is often underactive. Semaglutide is a modified version of GLP-1 that binds to the same receptors but resists breakdown, so it continues signaling for much longer than the naturally occurring hormone. The result is a sustained reduction in appetite, improved blood sugar response, and — over time — meaningful changes in body weight and metabolic health.

What To Expect

Semaglutide is administered as a weekly subcutaneous injection. We begin at a low dose and titrate gradually to minimize side effects (the most common are nausea, mild GI changes) and find the effective dose for your body. Most clients experience meaningful reduction in appetite and food preoccupation within the first 2–4 weeks. Weight loss is typically gradual and sustainable — 1–2 lbs per week on average once at effective dose. The protocol includes regular check-ins with your provider to monitor progress and adjust as needed.
